Stavrovouni Monastery
Stavrovouni is said to have been founded by Saint Helena in the fourth century and still follows a strict monastic rule. It stands alone on a rocky summit between Larnaca and Nicosia, and the drive up the last few kilometres gives some of the widest views in southern Cyprus.
